SA:Elderly pedestrian dies in South Australia

ADELAIDE, April 30 AAP - An 89-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck
on Sturt Highway in the South Australian Riverland.

Police said the man was flown to Royal Adelaide Hospital after being struck at Barmera
at 5.45am (CST) on Saturday and he had since died of his injuries.

His death takes the state's road toll to 39, compared to 49 at the same time last year.
