WA: Police waiting for Aust sex offender deported from Thailand

Western Australian police and child protection officers will be waiting for Australian
paedophile PAUL THOMPSON when he arrives in Perth today .. after being deported from Thailand.

THOMPSON is listed on the Australian National Child Offender register.

The 56-year-old was detained on August 11 on immigration charges .. while attempting
to leave Thailand for Cambodia to renew his Thai visa .. because his name was on an immigration
watch list.

WA Police want to talk to THOMPSON for not complying with the register .. by failing
to inform police of his movements when he left the country.



Police have said THOMPSON has a long history of child abuse charges in several countries
.. possibly over many decades.

Thai police have also accused him of molesting children in southern Thailand.

THOMPSON had faced prison in Australia on paedophile charges .. but fled to south-east
Asia .. where he travelled on multiple forged passports.
